Solitaire

Solitaire diamond engagement rings feature 1 large single diamond in the centre. It is held by a claw setting with either 4 or 6 claws, however some modern design use only 2. As the diamond size is confined to a single stone it is usually greater in size to a 3 or 5 stone engagement ring, giving a greater sparkle particularly from a round cut diamond.
